OUR GROVELAND FLORAL ARRANGEMENTS and DELIVERY SERVICE
Groveland is a little town smack-dab in the middle of the state.
It's just a stone's throw from Clermont, and Kara's Flowers and Victorian Gardens is delighted to serve this great little town.
Groveland isn't exactly a destination site, but it's a good place to live, has a lot of good people, and you can use it as a jumping off point for going and seeing any of the sites around.
Groveland was founded and incorporated in 1922. By 1930 there were 470 people living there. Over the next 10 years, it actually lost 60 of its residents. In the decade following its population increased by 150% and the total number of people who lived there grew to 1028.
By 2010 the population was 8729, and in just four more years it grew another 1500.
One of Groveland's claims to fame is that it was the fastest growing place in Florida between 2000 and 2010. During that decade, its population increased by 189%.
If you're staying in Groveland and looking for stuff to do, you can easily go over to Orlando or southeast to the Disney parks and Seaworld.
Orlando also has Universal Studios and other lesser-known attractions like Leu Gardens, the convention center, the Morse Museum, Winter Park farmer's market and Park street shopping, and the Chain of lakes boat tours.
If you keep driving east past Orlando, you'll eventually hit the east coast with Cape Canaveral, Canaveral national seashore, Merritt Island, and Cocoa Beach. The Kennedy Space Center is of course also out there.
If you go west to the gulf, there's a whole bunch of things to do over there. Almost due east of Groveland is Chassahowitzka (how's that for a name?) National Wildlife Refuge and Homosassa. Homosassa Springs is very well known as a place where you can see manatees.
If you go further south, you can visit Tarpon Springs, well known for its Greek heritage and sea sponge industry.
Further south is Clearwater with its spectacular beaches, Tampa, Saint Pete, and all of the beaches along that area.
There are all kinds of water sports that are options for things to do if you're out visiting that way. Also, Tampa has an awesome aquarium.
Kara's Flowers and Victorian Gardens is delighted to serve the people of Groveland. Whether you need a simple bouquet for Mom or wedding flower arrangements, we can accommodate all of your needs.
If you don't know exactly what you want give us a call. We'll talk through your ideas, your needs, and your budget.
